Es un honor para mí presentarles esta vigésima edición de la revista Impacto Científico, una publicación académica adscrita al Núcleo Costa Oriental del Lago de la Universidad del Zulia, consolidándonos como un referente en las áreas del conocimiento en educación, ingeniería y ciencias económicas.

Iniciamos esta entrega con el trabajo de Yajaira Alvarado, Jelvis Chirinos, Miguel Chirinos, María Loginov y Xavier Pirela, titulado “Filosofías de gestión de mantenimiento en empresas vinculadas a la industria petrolera venezolana”. Este estudio descriptivo, no experimental, transeccional y de campo incluyó a
tres empresas, para lo cual se utilizó una encuesta de 30 ítems (confiabilidad Alfa de Cronbach = 0,8231) para la recolección de datos. Los resultados indicaron la presencia de diversas filosofías de mantenimiento: rutinaria, programada, correctiva, circunstancial, predictiva y preventiva. Esto demuestra que la gestión de
mantenimiento en estas empresas está fortalecida, es eficiente y capaz de optimizar la disponibilidad y confiabilidad de sus activos.

El turno es para Stefanía Rodríguez con su investigación “Reflexiones sobre la gestión de riesgos empresariales y su alineación con la norma ISO 31000:2009”, en el cual se destaca la importancia de integrar la gestión de riesgos en la toma de decisiones y la planificación estratégica como herramienta clave para fortalecer la gobernanza, fomentar una cultura preventiva y promover la sostenibilidad
corporativa. A partir de una revisión bibliográfica reciente, se analizan los conceptos, principios y repercusiones gerenciales de la norma en el contexto organizacional actual. La investigación concluye que la adopción de la gestión de riesgos contribuye significativamente a mejorar la resiliencia y la eficacia gerencial ante la incertidumbre.

Seguidamente tenemos el trabajo de Damarys Mussett titulado “Constructo teórico sobre los modelos gerenciales en las organizaciones actuales”, en el que destaca que un buen direccionamiento gerencial es clave para el funcionamiento correcto y el logro de metas laborales mediante la búsqueda constante de métodos estratégicos que aumenten la capacidad competitiva en el mercado. La investigación utiliza
una metodología documental con diseño bibliográfico y observación para resumir los procesos y modelos gerenciales comúnmente aplicados que pueden mejorar significativamente el cumplimiento de objetivos y metas en las organizaciones.

Calixto Hernández y Wuilliams Nava presentan el tema “Estrategia competitiva como herramienta clave en las organizaciones empresariales”, en la que explican que las estrategias son planes de acción que una empresa utiliza para alcanzar sus objetivos, especialmente en situaciones de mercado como la aparición de nuevos competidores, ingreso a nuevos mercados o presencia de productos sustitutos. El propósito de la investigación fue analizar estas estrategias como una herramienta fundamental en las organizaciones, logrando esto mediante una revisión bibliográfica. El estudio confirmó que las estrategias son indispensables para obtener ventajas competitivas y lograr un alto nivel de desarrollo. Los resultados revelaron que todas las organizaciones —ya sean grandes o pequeñas— deben formular estrategias que
funcionen como mecanismos de apoyo para identificar oportunidades, asegurar su éxito a largo plazo y mantener una posición competitiva en el mercado.

Gestión inclusiva y cultura organizacional en la educación pública chilena: evidencia desde la comuna de Arica, es la investigación que presenta Einer Yepsen, donde examina la manera en que la cultura organizacional de los centros educativos públicos en Chile condiciona la adopción de prácticas
inclusivas, específicamente en el contexto de la reforma educativa actual. Los hallazgos demuestran una relación significativa: los equipos directivos que optan por promover liderazgos colaborativos e implementan estrategias de gestión firmemente centradas en el valor de la diversidad logran resultados superiores. Específicamente, consiguen consolidar ambientes más inclusivos y alcanzan mayores niveles de cohesión institucional dentro del centro. A modo de conclusión, la investigación sostiene que el éxito de la gestión inclusiva no depende únicamente de la existencia de estructuras y normativas formales. Por el contrario, la clave reside en la consolidación de una cultura compartida que esté profundamente arraigada en principios como la equidad, la confianza y el aprendizaje colectivo.

Las matemáticas se hacen presente en esta edición con Alexis Villarroel y Francisco Villarroel, quienes presentan el articulo “ De las sumas de permutaciones para 2 y 3 dígitos al teorema fundamental para cualquier permutación”, este trabajo analiza la suma de permutaciones de números de 2 y 3 dígitos, presentando dos teoremas basados en el valor posicional y sus demostraciones. A partir de esto, se
obtiene un teorema general para sumar cualquier cantidad de números permutados, simplificando el proceso mediante inducción sin generar todas las permutaciones. Se emplean programas en lenguaje C para verificar los casos de 2 y 3 dígitos. El teorema final destaca por permitir sumar de manera eficiente y práctica los n! números de cualquier permutación.

A continuación, el trabajo de Alberto Álvarez y Diagnys Larez “Gestión del conocimiento como estrategia para el desarrollo de investigaciones científicas en postgrado”, el objetivo de esta investigación fue fomentar el desarrollo de la investigación científica en el Programa de Postgrado de la UNERMB (Universidad Nacional Experimental “Rafael María Baralt”). por lo que se aplicó una encuesta tipo Likert (28 ítems) a 24 maestrantes de la Maestría Docencia para la Educación Superior. Los resultados hallados, son alarmantes, ya que el 58,33% de los encuestados desarrolla investigación solo para culminar la
escolaridad y obtener un grado académico. De allí la necesidad de este tema que busca fomentar la competencia investigativa en los participantes de dicho programa de postgrado en la sede Cabimas.

Por último, tenemos a Carlos Romero, Ronald Quinde y Fritzner Joseph con “Análisis comparativo revisión estructural de una torre metálica autosoportada de 36 metros de altura para uso de telecomunicaciones”, el estudio encontró un comportamiento estructural global satisfactorio según las normas NEC-SE, ANSI/
TIA-222-G y AISC 30-16; asimismo, se evaluó la estabilidad global y el comportamiento sísmico de una torre metálica autosoportada de 36 m para telecomunicaciones, utilizando los programas SAP2000 y STAAD.Pro. Se obtuvo un período fundamental de 0,733 s. Las masas participativas superan el 90 %. Los desplazamientos están controlados (0,0074), por lo que el cortante basal cumple con la normativa. En
cuanto a las deficiencias detectadas, tanto la revisión inicial (SAP2000) como la validación posterior (STAAD.Pro) confirmaron deficiencias en los elementos secundarios (arriostramientos), presentando fallas por esbeltez (valores entre 240 y 380), por lo que sus relaciones demanda-capacidad son críticas (entre 1,2 y 1,9). Entre las conclusiones presentadas, los autores señalan que la torre cumple con los criterios sismorresistentes esenciales; no obstante, se requiere la optimización de los miembros secundarios (arriostramientos) para mejorar su desempeño a compresión y garantizar una respuesta estructural más estable.

Maintenance management philosophies in companies linked to the Venezuelan petroleum industry

This study aimed to identify maintenance management philosophies in companies servicing metallic structures within Venezuela’s petroleum industry. A descriptive, nonexperimental, cross-sectional
field design was employed, including three companies from western Venezuela. Data were collected through a 30-item frequency-scale survey, validated by experts, and demonstrated a Cronbach’s alpha reliability of 0.8231. Results highlighted the adoption of routine, scheduled, corrective, circumstantial,
predictive, and preventive maintenance approaches, indicating a robust and effective maintenance management system. These findings suggest that such a system enhances asset availability, reliability, and overall operational performance, providing valuable insights for optimizing industrial maintenance strategies.

Reflections on business risk management and its alignment with the iso 31000:2009 standard

This essay offers a theoretical reflection on business risk management and its alignment with the principles established in ISO 31000:2009. It examines the importance of incorporating risk management into strategic planning and decision-making processes, emphasizing its role as a tool for strengthening governance,
preventive culture, and organizational sustainability. Through a documentary review of recent literature, the conceptual foundations, guiding principles, and managerial implications of the standard are discussed within the framework of contemporary organizations. The analysis concludes that adopting an integrated approach to risk management enhances resilience and managerial effectiveness in contexts characterized by uncertainty and change.

Theoretical construction on management models in current organizations

In this free research, a theoretical construct will be developed regarding themanagement models that exist within current organizations. The objective is to analyze their application in terms of methods within management processes, as these are necessary for functioning, given the continuous changes that organizations experience globally today. It should be noted that good management direction aims for the proper functioning of management, as well as the achievement of goals within the workplace, through the constant search for strategic methods that help increase the ability to compete in today's market. This research is based on the conception of a documentary methodology, under a bibliographic design, applying observation to provide a summary approach to the management processes and models that are commonly applied in organizations and that, in turn, can significantly increase the achievement of objectives and goals.

Competitive stategy as a key tool in business organizations

Competitive strategies refer to the courses of action taken by a company or business unit to achieve its objectives in current market situations, such as the emergence of competitors or new entrants, the decision to enter a new market, or the emergence of substitute products. The purpose of this research was to analyze competitive strategies as a key tool in business organizations. To this end, a literature review was conducted, which provided insight into fundamental aspects of competitive strategies as an important tool within any organization that allows it to gain competitive advantages over other markets and strive for a high level of development. The results obtained through the documentary study revealed the existence of authors who observe that organizations, large or small, need to establish or formulate competitive strategies as a support mechanism for identifying new opportunities. They also believe that these
strategies should be successfully maintained in other markets over the long term.

Inclusive management and organizational culture in chilean public education: evidence from the municipality of Arica

This article examines how the organizational culture of public educational centers influences the adoption of inclusive practices in the context of the Chilean educational reform. Based on a correlational study conducted in the municipality of Arica during 2020, with a census sample of 71 staff members from various educational units, the links between leadership styles, institutional planning, and community participation
are analyzed. The findings show that management teams that promote collaborative leadership and management strategies focused on diversity succeed in consolidating more inclusive environments with higher levels of institutional cohesion. It is concluded that inclusive management depends not only on formal structures but also on the consolidation of a shared culture based on equity, trust, and collective learning.

From the sums of 2- and 3-digit permutations to the fundamental addition theorem for any permutation

This article deals with the addition for 2- and 3-digit permutations. Two theorems are derived from the study of these theorems, along with their proofs based on positional value. Their implications allow us to obtain a fundamental theorem for the addition of numbers in any permutation. That is, the addition of permuted numbers from 4 to infinite digits is generalized in a very simple way, without requiring the generation of the numbers that make up the permutation using an inductive process. Using computer
programs in C, we show what happens for numbers from 10 to 99 (2 digits) and from 100 to 999 (3 digits) to guarantee the veracity of the theorems. The importance of the third theorem lies in that it allows the addition of n! numbers in a permutation in an extremely efficient and practical way.

Knowledge management as a strategy for the development of scientific research in graduate studies

The research aims to propose strategies from Knowledge Management for the development of scientific research in the Postgraduate Program at UNERMB. It is based on a positivist paradigm with a projective type of research. As a data collection instrument, a Likert-scale survey was applied to 24 master's students distributed across the different semesters of the Master's in Teaching for Higher Education, which
consisted of 28 items. The results show that 58.33% conduct research only to complete a course of study, which is an alarming factor; research should be developed not only for obtaining an academic degree but should be a fundamental aspect in all areas of life. Based on this result, a proposal was developed aiming to foster research competence among postgraduate participants in the Master's in Teaching for Higher Education at the National Experimental University Cabimas campus.

Comparative analysis structural review of a 36-meter self-supported steel tower for telecommunications use

The present research conducts a comparative analysis of the structural review of a 36-meter self-supporting steel tower designed for telecommunications purposes, aiming to evaluate its seismic behavior and overall stability. In the initial assessment performed using SAP2000 (Computers and Structures, Inc., 2023), slendernessrelated failures were identified in secondary members. In order to validate and contrast these findings, a spectral modal analysis and verifications under the LRFD method were carried out with STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition (Bentley Systems, Inc., 2023), in accordance with NEC-SE standards (MIDUVI, 2015), ANSI/TIA-222-G (2005), and AISC 360-16 (2016). The results reveal a fundamental period of 0.733
seconds, participating mass ratios exceeding 90%, controlled displacements (0.0074), and a base shear consistent with regulatory criteria, thereby indicating a satisfactory overall structural performance. Nevertheless, the secondary bracing members exhibit demand–capacity ratios between 1.2 and 1.9, along with slenderness ratios ranging from 240 to 380, confirming the deficiencies identified during the preliminary review. In conclusion, the tower meets essential seismic resistance requirements; however,
optimization of the secondary members is required to enhance their compressive performance and ensure a more stable and reliable structural response.
