Abstract
In South America, the genus Latineosus Sun and McCafferty (Insecta: Ephemeroptera) had hitherto been recorded only in central Colombia (Tolima). It is herein recorded for the first time the presence of this taxon in Venezuela. Latineosus becomes the second genus of the Caenidae detected in this country.
