Estudio comparativo de tres técnicas coproparasitológicas empleadas en el diagnóstico de la giardiasis e hymenolepiasis
Abstract
Con el fin de seleccionar, el mejor método coproparasitológico en el diagnóstico de Giardiasis e Hymenolepiasis, se examinaron 300 muestras fecales en pacientes de Pediatría del Hospital Universitario por los métodos directo, Faust y Ritchie. Los resultados finales permiten concluir la superioridad de Ritchie en el diagnóstico de Giardiasis, mientras que para Hymenolepiasis los tres métodos en estudio resultaron igualmente útiles y eficaces. Es necesario destacar la distorsión de los elementos parasitarios al emplear la técnica de Faust, lo cual no ocurrió con otros métodos empleados en el presente estudio.
