The university link and penitentiary system in the re-integration of people deprived of liberty in Baja California

The connection between the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) and different sectors of society is common in the development of academic work, proposing monitoring of formulated programs and projects, in correspondence with the curricular guidelines in the degree of the Faculty of Human Sciences. La teaching represents a space and mechanism binding with the penitentiary system and the social reintegration of people deprived of liberty related to proven criminal causes. The academic training in the Faculty of Human Sciences in the degrees in Education Sciences, Psychology, Communication Sciences, Sociology, History and the Master's Degree in Education (Area of emphasis in Educational Management), recognize the value in credits in the study plans through inter-institutional academic linkge, and whose management is given from the academy with the purpose of linking, systematizing and defining the processes for the pertinent administration of the stays and evaluations of the students admitted to penitentiary centers.

The present study seeks to generate an analysis of the aspects inherent to Personal Guidance within the Empowering process of the individual as an active entity in mental health processes. It includes cognitive, emotional and attitudinal elements of said Professional in the development of technical-generic competencies that must respond to the theoretical-methodological and practical elements related to the counseling and consultation processes in Guidance. The theoretical bases of support come from the postulates generated by Rogers (1992), Moscovici (1985), Castejón and Zamora. (2001) and the Code of Ethics of the Practice of Guidance (2002), The method was developed from Qualitative Research whose tradition is Grounded Theory to produce interpretations of behaviors under study (Annells, 1996; Glaser & Strauss, 1967 ), As results, the beginning of the construction of the theoretical corpus of Personal Guidance is expected to develop its potential.

Contributions of discourse analysis models to devel-op doctoral and postdoctoral research

The knowledge of discourse studies has become a vitally important instrument to develop research in any discipline of knowledge, from this methodology, interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary field, has generated a large amount of research. For this reason, the objective of this study was to analyze the contributions that knowledge of this discipline has had for doctoral and postdoctoral studies and therefore to develop scientific research. The theoretical foundation was based on authors such as: Habermas (1980), Van Dijk (1980, 1999), Franco (2007), Molero and Cabeza (2006), Villasmil and Fuenmayor (2013) Fuenmayor and Villasmil (2015, 2016). The methodology used was of a documentary descriptive nature, since it consisted of describing and comparing three discourse analysis models to highlight their importance in fourth level studies. The results showed that these models or ways of analyzing discourse allow the researcher to develop works whose purpose is to go beyond the meanings present in a text/discourse. It is concluded that every researcher must know the different methodologies of discourse analysis

The value of training in educational management of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, University of Zulia

This exhibition arises from the reflection on the principles shared by young students regarding the family and its relationship with the training of future education professionals, which is posed as a study problem "The value of the family present in the students of Educational Management of the Faculty of Humanities and Education of the University of Zulia”. The methodological principles are based on a type of study of a descriptive and analytical nature. The family guides the way of life of the people that integrate it, and everything is to promote the security, joy and peace of each one of its members. It was revealed that the Educational Management subject promotes reflection and action of students from the perspective of values, which shares the value of the family, considering that the formation of a manager's profile begins at home. The manager comes from his family triangle: parents, siblings, who make up the primary system, an important learning laboratory for life, for students. University students are recommended to acquire conceptual, procedural and attitudinal skills, where they promote learning experiences inside and outside the classroom that contribute to the comprehensive professional training of the individual accompanied by family and university support.

The photographic language in the @mcboalcaldia account: an analysis from visual rhetoric and aesthetic categories

The objective of this work is to analyze the use of photographic language in the Instagram account of the Maracaibo mayor's office. Based on the postulates of Erausquín (1995), Barthes (1986, 1989) and Vílches (1987, 1999), a total of 252 photographs were analyzed from a quali-quantitative methodology that broke down the codes, rhetorical strategies and aesthetic categories present in the images. It is concluded that the images tend to reinforce the ethos of the mayor as a protective leader, through the emphasis on the gestural code and metonymy as a rhetorical figure. However, there are technical accidents that limit the communicative capacity of the images that make visible the functions of the mayor's office of Maracaibo

Civic education: A priority for the new university curriculum

Today it is significant to reflect on how education has become a matter of great concern and within its difficulties is the sense of adequately guiding citizen education to coexist in society and the world with ethical and democratic values. Contemporary times give us an account of the multiple changes that are taking place and the problems that are registered in society and the citizen is called to face these difficulties. Training citizens is a vital matter because it has been neglected within the sphere of formal and informal education, for this reason these reflections are presented, supported by hermeneutic interpretative analysis. Psychological characteristics of young university students: Social motives in students of Guidance

The objective of this research was to describe the social motivations of the students of Education, Mention Orientation, of the University of Zulia; who, despite the Venezuelan diaspora, are still in the country, pursuing their higher studies. It was addressed under the theoretical approaches of McClelland and Romero. The inquiry was carried out with the quantitative paradigm, it was descriptive, field, non-experimental-descriptive design. Collective applications of the Motivation to Achievement (MLP), Affiliation Motivation (MAFI) and Social Power Motivation (MPS) instruments designed by Romero and Salom (1990), standardized, with adequate psychometric properties, were applied to the entire population. The data was analyzed using the descriptive statistics. The means of achievement motivation, affiliation and power were located at a medium level. It is suggested to develop operational guidelines to optimize the functional psychological characteristics of university students, focusing on increasing motivation to achieve, linked to excellence and expertise.

Historical context of Pauna-Colombia and its impact on the imaginaries of Citizen Construction and Sexuality Education

Sexual education and the construction of citizenship must be considered beyond educational issues. It is essential to have adequate tools for its understanding, integrating regulatory aspects, student development and community. The purpose of the work was to characterize the context of the municipality of Pauna-Colombia regarding the perceptions and imaginaries that exist regarding sexuality, construction of citizenship and conflict resolution of the Agricultural Technical Educational Institutions of Rural Development and Nationalized Technical Educational Institutions. Theoretically it was based on Mockus et al (2012), among others. The methodology used was documentary, descriptive in scope, through the analysis and characterization of the phenomenon studied. The results emphasize: 1. Context of conflicts resulting from the emerald wars, dysfunctional family environments, lack of opportunities to develop life projects. 2. Sexuality reflected in gender inequality, machismo. It is concluded that it is essential to build a family, give a voice to children and adolescents, inter-institutional articulation to transform the imaginaries towards the construction of the social fabric and structural changes that favor conditions with quality of life

Teaching-learning strategies applied by teachers to university students

The teaching-learning strategies applied by teachers are associated with the content to socialize and sensitize students to what they are going to learn. The present research focused on: To analyze the teaching-learning strategies applied by teachers to university students in the Faculty of Humanities, School of Education. Theoretically, it was based on the authors: Arias (2012), Hernández, et al (2014), Ortega, et al (2014), Vargas-Murillo (2020), among others. For the development of the research, the quantitative-positivist paradigm was assumed, of descriptive type and level, field design, non-experimental, cross-sectional. For research purposes, twenty (20) students were selected who met the following inclusion criteria: Regular students in the sixth (6) and seventh (7) semester of the second semester of (2023). A questionnaire was applied to the students consisting of forty (40) items. The results obtained from the answers provided by the surveyed students consider that pre-instructional, co-instructional and post-instructional strategies are not always and almost always applied in the classroom

Thinking and language are topics that all teachers in educational institutions must assume. The purpose of the article was to analyze the problem of the low level of development of thinking and language skills from three perspectives: results in national and international tests, educational reforms and teachers' conceptions. The study is mainly supported by the contributions of Ritchhart & Church (2020), Swartz (2018), Robinson (2016). Methodologically, it had a documentary design with a descriptive scope, which reviews the Colombian educational reforms of the last 25 years, complemented with a qualitative exercise that collects, through a structured interview, the conceptions about thinking and language teaching that a group of First Year teachers have. Primary Education Cycle of Colombia. It is essential to adopt a comprehensive and contextualized approach to these aspects. It involves migrating from traditional methods to dynamic, student-centered practices. Only in this way can we guarantee an education that forms thinking, creative and communicative citizens, prepared to live together in today's world

Technology in the development of numerical thinking

This article presents fundamental notions about the teaching-learning process in the area of mathematics from the use of technology and the development of numerical thinking for problem solving supported by UNESCO positions, curricular guidelines of the Colombian Ministry of Education, Ibarra, among others. The research is methodologically, positivist-quantitative of a descriptive type and non-experimental - transectional field design. The sample was established with the entire population of 15 teachers and 85 ninth grade students of the Educational Institutions of Huila in Colombia. The technique to collect the data was the survey and as an instrument the structured questionnaire with response categories Always, Sometimes, Never. Likewise, an interview was carried out with 5 teachers of the coordination of mathematics for the technological processes that have allowed the development of some premises in the final considerations

The geohistorical approach as a didactic strategy of situated learning

The present investigation had the purpose of theoretically analyzing the Geohistorical Approach as a didactic strategy that configures situated learning, based on theoretical contributions Palencia (2003), Ceballos (2003; 2007), Morillo, et al (2010) Montiel y Vera (2011), Ramírez y Puerta (2013), among others, and supported by legal documents such as the current National Constitution (1999) and the Organic Law of Education (2009). The study was classified as descriptive with a documentary design, the unit of analysis being documents, texts and electronic sources, representing the findings through descriptive matrices of the aforementioned authors. Among the main contributions, it is highlighted that the Geohistorical Approach is a situated didactic strategy, endorsed by the Organic Law of Education that allows, through the student's experience and their daily life, to know their environment from multiple approaches or perspective (inter and transdisciplinary vision ), promoting the formation of an individual situated in society and favoring meaningful learning. In addition, its methodology and tools promote the production of geographical theories and the training of social researchers through the community approach. All these geographical categories make up learning situated from the geohistorical approach, contributing positively to the teaching-learning process

¿Are major humanitarian crises ravaging the planet today? Mental mealth (HAITI)

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental disorders account for 14of the global burden of diseases and injuries in adolescents between 10 and 19 years of age (see foot quote 1 below). Globalization has made it possible to have a better understanding of humanitarian crises as well as to be able to act faster in front of a humanitarian emergency. However, the path is not yet clear enough so as to perform an intense, rapid and effective action absolutely necessary in front of any emergency or disaster. The search of policies and actions aimed to strengthen communities to face this type of contexts –that is, to train them to cope with the mental health of their members- is a must. Mental Health is a complex speciality since it deals with the human soul and mind. These recommendations may be fully appreciated when one sees the situation experienced in Haiti by a population that has been and is still hit by several natural catastrophes (several hurricanes and a cholera epidemic), by a persistent inability of the local administration to mobilize resources, and to coordinate and control international resources for the reconstruction of the country
