Abstract
The clinical course of Hepatitis A virus (HAV) infection is usually benign and self-limited in more than 90% of cases; however, fulminant liver failure is described within its atypical forms of presentation. Atypical forms of HAV infection have been poorly studied and are rarely taken into account as a differential diagnosis in clinical practice.
