Abstract

En el mes de septiembre Kasmera celebró un aniversario más de fructífera labor, son tiempos difíciles para la investigación y la ciencia en nuestro país, sin embargo, todo el equipo de la revista se ha dedicado a trabajar para evitar que estos factores afecten la publicación.

Degree in Bioanalysis. Magister Scientiarum in Microbiology and Doctor of Health Sciences. Professor of the Bacteriology area of the School of Bioanalysis, Faculty of Medicine, University of Zulia. Maracaibo Venezuela. Head of the chairs of Clinical Bacteriology and Professional Practice of Bacteriology. Academic coordinator of the Master in Bacteriological Diagnosis. Postgraduate Division, Faculty of Medicine, University of Zulia. Teaching and Research Coordinator of the Clinical Laboratory of the School of Bioanalysis of the University of Zulia. Technical advisor and coordinator of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Bacterial Resistance of the Bacteriological Reference Center of the University Hospital of Maracaibo and Ex-President of the Zulia chapter of the Venezuelan Society of Microbiology. His main line of research focuses on general, clinical bacteriology, bacterial resistance to antimicrobial agents and molecular epidemiology of microorganisms, has presented more than 100 event proceeding, delivered more than 70 conferences at scientific events and published more than 50 scientific papers in national and international refereed journals, as well as monographs, technical reports, guidelines, standards, work protocols, books, reviews and editorials. He is an expert evaluator of the Kasmera journal, Clinical Research, Journal of the Venezuelan Society of Microbiology, Journal of the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Colombia, Colombian Journal of Biotechnology, Journal of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Universidad de los Andes , Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Zulia, EC Microbiology and The Journal of Infection in Developing Countries. Member of the Venezuelan Society of Microbiology, American Society for Microbiology. Venezuelan Society of Specialist Bioanalysts. Member of the Subcommittee on Rational Use of Antibiotics, Hospital Infections Committee of the Autonomous Service of the University Hospital of Maracaibo, and of the Venezuelan Program of Antimicrobial Resistance (PROVENRA).
