Plagiarism detection policies
Anti-plagiarism policies are a set of measures and procedures designed to prevent, detect and treat plagiarism in the editorial process. These policies include verifying the authorship of materials submitted for publication, the use of software tools to detect similarities in content, and the use of scientific evaluation techniques to assess the originality of content. These policies should also include the disclosure of conflicts of interest in the evaluation process and the adoption of measures to prevent exploitation of authors.
The Opción Journal uses the plag.es software to verify the articles submitted for publication, recommending that the authors should always cite the sources of information that are used, whether they are books, magazine or press articles, web pages, etc. As well as guaranteeing that the information included is their authorship or that they have the permission of the authors to include it. Also, paraphrase to avoid literal transcription of information. It is also important to plan your work in advance to allow enough time to cite all sources.
