Encuentro de dos mundos académicos: La Universidad de Villanueva visita LUZ
Abstract
The University of Zulia, recognizing the significance of audiovisual education in a developing country like Venezuela, emphasizes the value of engaging international professors. Through collaborations facilitated by the ERASMUS agreement, the university hosted Professor José María Benito García from the University of Villanueva. His academic background and professional expertise in audiovisual management positioned him as a valuable resource. During his visit to Maracaibo, Professor Benito García delivered a lecture at the Baralt Theater titled "Influence of Streaming Platforms on Cinema Consumption," part of the discussion series "The Future of Communication." Additionally, he conducted a well-received fiction series workshop for Communication and related majors. Coordinated by the Communication Information Research Center (CICI) and the Master's in Communication program, this initiative promotes knowledge exchange, enriching student education and contributing to academic and civic development in the region.
