Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present an analysis of the internal factors that influence inflation in small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Panama, focusing on market structure and internal competition, the dependence on imported goods and services, domestic demand and purchasing power, as well as fiscal policy and public spending. The methodology used corresponds to an analytical research approach with a documentary design. This study reveals the complexity and interconnection of the economic dynamics that affect the daily lives of citizens. As the analysis delves into market structure, import dependence, domestic demand behavior, and fiscal policies, it becomes clear that inflation is not an isolated phenomenon but the result of multiple interacting variables.
