From criminology to the sociology of vulnerability
Abstract:
The essay states that even when the existence of the criminal personality is not proven, the criminals exist. They are manufactured with the socially most vulnerable raw material. The rejected. It is at this point that the criminals of always look like the immigrants of these days. Its study obliges us to rethink the functioning of the societies that generate large population groups in situations of vulnerability; and, in its use to create groups susceptible to "legitimate" particularized management. It is what could be called, a sociology of vulnerability.
