We recognize ourselves as part of nature to reason and build knowledge

Abstract

The separation between Nature and society is the logic of power. This separation makes Nature place herself at the service of a single species. This form of reason is hegemonic and is found in all actions labeled as scientific. However, the exercise of life is consubstantial to scientific practice. We recognize ourselves as part of nature, then analyzing or knowing the world by separating from that world, is to seize it, is to exercise power, which leads us to maneuver the world at will. To know ​life from another perspective, from our experiences of communality, is knowing ourselves part, within or natural of the world we inhabit.
