The upcoming social intervention: between the "us" of a lifetime and the "me" of our days
Abstract
The presentation briefly and reviews some challenges for social intervention that professionally deployed in the context of the Andean and Central American countries. Challenges’ coming from a new social landscape coexists with old social structures that shape poverty, inequality and exclusion and with acceleration of cybernetic times. They described as evident social facts to highlight how to encourage a re- reading of social work and its known professional dynamics. The synthesis is oriented towards the identification of lines of professional action and academic training that maintain the tension between “Us” and “I”, susceptible of providing answers to challenges by expanding or focusing the scope of the social intervention that concerns us.
