Abstract

The study defined in a project of learning based on philosophical and epistemological models of socio-constructivist approaches, had the general purpose of designing a virtual space as a tool for learning mathematics in the secondary school of the educational institution Nuestra Señora de Fátima de Valledupar- Colombia. Based on the hermeneutical approach, considering the qualitative nature of the research. The information was obtained through intentional and theoretical sampling. As for the population, four (4) informants were selected according to their teaching functions, in mathematics. The technique for gathering information is direct observation, as well as qualitative interviews. The reliability of this population is relative, just as ethics will be applied as a prevailing condition. On the other hand, to end it could be indicated that the virtual spaces for the learning are not exclusive of some modality, so that it can be implemented in all the forms and manifestations of the education. Therefore it is sought to generate the necessary conditions so that learning can be fostered through didactic activities, where it requires the student to process the information and build his own knowledge, to go in search of answers, to promote also high interaction Level, combined with the development of skills to think and learn, contribute to collaborative learning, manage both attention and motivational resources, which allowed the achievement of the specific purpose of developing guidelines for the design of a virtual space as a tool for learning the maths.
