Enlarged uterus an important public health entity
Abstract
The uterus is a hollow organ dependent on the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovary axis, divided into three portions divided into three portions: body, isthmus and neck, consisting of three layers: endometrium, myometrium and perimetrium. endometrium, myometrium and perimetrium. It is located between the rectum and the bladder, having as means of fixation the peritoneum, the round ligaments, rectouterine, the vaginal insertion, the pelvic floor and the pelvic floor and the broad ligament of the uterus, which envelops the fallopian tubes, containing the the fallopian tubes, containing the uterine arteries and the ureters, and the ureters, constituting a very important topographic element at the moment of performing surgical interventions at pelvic level. Its function is to house the product of conception of conception during gestation and its subsequent expulsion during childbirth delivery.
