Estudio bibliométrico y prospectivo de la ingeniería industrial en América Latina: una revisión de la literatura y futuras tendencias
Resumen
En un mundo globalizado con economías aceleradas, el contexto empresarial y universitario debe incursionar en la búsqueda de nuevas metodologías que permitan mejorar y estar a la vanguardia del contexto internacional. En este sentido, el objetivo de este artículo es analizar la evolución y tendencias de la ingeniería industrial en America Latina, a través de un estudio bibliométrico y prospectivo. La investigación está basada en mecanismos exploratorios de fuentes bibliográficas y revisión de la literatura sobre la disciplina. La metodología planteada se basa en tres etapas fundamentales (i) Estudio bibliométrico, (ii) Revisión de la literatura y (iii) Futuras tendencias. Entre los resultados obtenidos se encontró que la ingeniería industrial es una disciplina predominante en el tiempo, con alto auge investigativo en América latina. Se concluye que presenta un escenario habilitador hacia futuras tendencias, considerando la aplicación de tecnologías avanzadas y metodologías modernas, con aplicabilidad en las universidades e industrias.
