Filosofías de gestión de mantenimiento en empresas vinculadas a la industria petrolera venezolana
Maintenance management philosophies in companies linked to the Venezuelan petroleum industry
Abstract
This study aimed to identify maintenance management philosophies in companies servicing metallic structures within Venezuela’s petroleum industry. A descriptive, non experimental, cross-sectional field design was employed, including three companies from western Venezuela. Data were collected through a 30-item frequency-scale survey, validated by experts, and demonstrated a Cronbach’s alpha reliability of 0.8231. Results highlighted the adoption of routine, scheduled, corrective, circumstantial, predictive, and preventive maintenance approaches, indicating a robust and effective maintenance management system. These findings suggest that such a system enhances asset availability, reliability, and overall operational performance, providing valuable
insights for optimizing industrial maintenance strategies.
