Estrategias y dinámicas del desarrollo económico y el comercio internacional: Perspectivas teóricas, políticas y proteccionistas

Resumen

El desarrollo económico ha sido central en el análisis de transformaciones estructurales y cambios en el comercio internacional. Su estudio permite comprender cómo las economías enfrentan desafíos, adoptan políticas y se adaptan a nuevos escenarios globales. Este artículo tuvo como objetivo analizar, desde enfoques teóricos y empíricos, el impacto de las políticas proteccionistas en el desarrollo económico y comercio internacional. Para ello, se empleó una revisión documental de fuentes académicas y estudios especializados que abordan tanto las teorías del crecimiento como las dinámicas del comercio global. Como resultado, se identificó la relevancia de la teoría de “destrucción creativa” de Schumpeter (1939), la visión de Vázquez (2018) sobre crecimiento local y cambio estructural, así como la perspectiva de Sanchis (1995) de la capacidad de adaptación frente a oportunidades y crisis. Se evidenció cómo las políticas comerciales, integradas a nivel nacional y local, pueden fortalecer el desarrollo económico, analizando también la reestructuración productiva como respuesta a los ciclos económicos y la integración espacial del mercado como indicador de eficiencia. Se concluye que, aunque las políticas proteccionistas pueden ofrecer soluciones temporales, su uso indebido puede generar distorsiones económicas, por lo que su aplicación debe ser estratégica y evaluada en función de sus impactos.
