Vol. 17 No. 1 (2016): Divulgaciones Matemáticas
The Editorial Board of Divulgaciones Matemáticas is pleased to present the Vol. 17, No. 1, {\bf2016} reactivation volume of the journal. Articles contained in this issue are those processed during the period 2008-2015 and were evaluated and accepted for publication.
Given the administrative silence and no response from the journal to the authors who submitted their articles in the mentioned period, the vast majority of them withdrew their works from Divulgaciones Matemáticas. However, there were some cases where letters of acceptance had been previously emitted for certain manuscripts. In that situation, given the reorganization and restructuration of the journal, and looking forward to amending the inconvenience caused as far as possible, the Editorial Board asked those authors with letters of acceptance if they still wished to have their works published with us, as long as the same were not published elsewhere. The articles of those authors who gave positive answers are the works presented in this number.
The editorial work fulfilled in this issue is an outcome of the effort of some Faculty members from the Mathematics Department of the Experimental Faculty of Sciences at The University of Zulia. Editors want to express their gratitude to all of those who made this issue possible. To the authors of the presented works, who gave their vote of confidence to the new policy of the journal. To the selfless work of the referees who evaluated the articles: their work guaranteed the quality standards of the journal and significantly improved the way of working. To the editorial team of Divulgaciones Matemáticas, and especially to Professor José Heber Nieto, for his contribution to the Problems and Solutions section. To all of you, thanks a lot.
Finally, the new Editorial Board of Divulgaciones Matemáticas want to apologize to all Venezuelan mathematical community for the caused inconvenience and invite you to give us a vote of confidence by submitting their work to our journal for evaluation and possible publication.
