Neuronal Personality: From Connectionism to Computational and Representational Neuropsychology of the Mind (NpCRM)

Resumen

Este artículo investiga cómo la genética y el aprendizaje contribuyen a la formación de rasgos de personalidad y su representación mental, integrando tanto perspectivas filosóficas como neuropsicológicas en su estudio. La primera premisa sostiene que en cada sinapsis eléctrica se activa el material genético del individuo (ADN), influyendo en el fenotipo personal; y la segunda premisa destaca el papel de la sinapsis química en el aprendizaje adquirido, enfatizando cómo los cambios morfológicos neuronales y la consolidación hipocampal contribuyen a la formación de representaciones mentales y rasgos de personalidad. Así, se busca argumentar que los rasgos de personalidad, proporcionan representaciones mentales que ajustan el comportamiento a través de la unidad neuropsicológica de la personalidad, una matriz que de manera inquebrantable nos recuerda a cada acción quienes somos y por qué nos comportamos de una determinada manera. La conclusión incide en la idea de que así como la epigenética incide en la interacción entre herencia y entorno sin modificar el ADN, los rasgos de la personalidad se forjan a partir de la interacción continua entre predisposiciones genéticas y experiencias ambientales, modificando y adaptándose en función de la representación mental.
