Bienestar financiero de mujeres trabajadoras del sector turístico en México: Desde el conocimiento y la actitud
Resumen
El sector turístico en México desde al año 2024, registró un crecimiento importante, consolidándose como fuente generadora de empleos y de bienestar, contribuyendo a la reducción de la pobreza en el país. Particularmente, en ese mismo año, la isla de Cozumel, Quintana Roo-México, se posicionó como el principal destino de cruceros en el Caribe. Hay que considerar que, en este sector tradicionalmente dominado por varones, las mujeres han logrado destacar por asumir roles y desempeñar funciones relevantes, promoviendo así cambios en ese entorno. Por lo tanto, el objetivo fue analizar el efecto que tienen el conocimiento y la actitud financiera en el bienestar financiero de mujeres trabajadoras del sector turístico en Cozumel, Quintana Roo-México. La investigación se realizó con una dimensión temporal transversal, y diseño exploratorio, no experimental. Aplicando 146 encuestas a mujeres trabajadoras de ese sector turístico, se probaron las hipótesis planteadas por medio de una modelización de ecuaciones estructurales por mínimos cuadrados parciales. Los hallazgos revelan que tanto el conocimiento como la actitud financiera tienen un efecto positivo y estadísticamente significativo en el bienestar financiero. En conclusión, se encontró que la actitud financiera media, de manera estadísticamente significativa, el efecto que tiene el conocimiento en el bienestar financiero.
